Nickolas Berrones
Golf Course Assistant Superintendent
Nickolas, a Franklin native, went to Roncalli High School then attended Vincennes University where he received his Associate of Applied Science degree.
Nickolas was exposed to the golf course industry during his first summer out of school when he took a part-time job raking bunkers at The Legends Golf Club. In 2014, he started at Hillview Country Club as a seasonal employee mowing greens, which turned into a full-time position the following year.
Through his years on staff, Nickolas learned the ins and outs of golf course maintenance and accepted the position of Golf Course Assistant Superintendent in the fall of 2018. He has bolstered his career by completing a Turfgrass Certificate program through the University of Georgia and is also industry certified by the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
In 2021, Nickolas became a member of the GCSAA.
Nickolas and his fiancé, Madi, will be getting married in November of 2022. Their Great Pyrenees, Bear, likes to make appearances at the golf course during the off-season.
